Terms and Conditions
By registering for and participating in the 2024 Young Single Adult Conference (the “Conference”) of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Arizona (the “Church in Arizona”), you (the“Participant”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions (these “Terms and Conditions”).
1. Adherence to Conference Policies. The Participant must read, understand, and comply with all the Conference’s policies (the “Conference Policies”), which include all terms, conditions, standards, and guidelines as stated in the Conference information page(s) on the Conference’s website, the online or print registration materials, and these Terms and Conditions. Conference Policies are subject to change at the Church in Arizona’s sole discretion for a variety of reasons, including health and safety, and to stay informed, Participant must review the Conference Policies as found on the Conference’s website within 72 hours before the beginning of the Conference. Participants who do not comply with the Conference Policies, as they exist on the date(s) of the Conference, may be excused from the Conference with no refund.
2. Consent to Medical Treatment. The Church in Arizona may provide emergency first aid care to the Participant that the Church in Arizona may, in its sole discretion, determine to be necessary in the event of illness or accident. In the event of any illness or injury beyond minor illness or injury, Participant consents to the Church in Arizona contacting local emergency medical services and the Participant agrees that the Participant, and not the Church in Arizona, is responsible for any expenses incurred for such treatment, including, but not limited to costs of transportation to and treatment from any hospital or medical center.
3. Consent to Use Image. For purposes of extending the influence of the Conference or promoting the Conference or other programs (the “Purposes”), the Church in Arizona, or any third party authorized by it, may take, collect, and make public visual, audio, and video images, including interviews, recordings, name, image, likeness, statements, and biographical information of the Participant during the Conference (the “Images”). The Church in Arizona, or the third party authorized by it, owns the Images and all the rights to them and may use them for the Purposes, without notifying the Participant, in any manner or media, including, but not limited to, websites, publications, social media, promotions, advertisements, and posters. The Participant waives any right to inspect, approve, or be compensated for the use of the Images and acknowledges that the Church in Arizona is not obligated to use the Images.
4. Payment of Financial Obligations. The Participant is fully responsible for paying all
registration fees and other associated costs assessed as a result of their registration and receipt of services for the Conference. Participants must wear lanyard badges issued at check-in at all times during the conference.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties. The content, information, and services of the Conference are provided “as is” with no representation or warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied.
6. Governing Law, Venue and Jurisdiction. The laws of the State of Arizona, without giving effect to its conflicts of law principles, govern all matters relating to these Terms and Conditions.
7. Severability. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be invalid for any reason, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of any of the other provisions, which other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
